The Western Corridor Recycled Water Project (WCRWP) is the largest recycled water scheme of its kind in the southern hemisphere. It involves the construction of approximately 200km of underground pipeline, three Advance Water Treatment Plants and six pump stations forming a key element in the South East Queensland Water Grid. The largest urban drought initiative in Australia. The project has a supply capacity of just over 230 mega litres a day.
1300LOCATE have been an integral part of the underground services location team for the project. The principal aim of the work was to help ensure the protection of South East Queensland’s subsurface utilities that past through the pipe line corridor.
