Emergency services were called to a Paddington residence on Gladstone St, off busy Latrobe Tce, around 10.15am on Thursday after the tradesman accidentally cut the gas inlet to a home.

Four fire crews are currently on scene with QAS paramedics on standby, but it is understood only one home has been impacted.

A spokesman for Australia Gas Networks, which supplies gas to the area, said only one customer was without gas due to the incident.

“AGN crews are on site now making the scene safe,” the spokesman said.

Queensland Police are also diverting traffic from Gladstone St as a precautionary measure.
